Problem & Goals

 

Many companies, including Microsoft’s direct competitors, were creating stories showcasing how people use their products in their lives. Additionally, Microsoft Phone was out but there were very few apps were available. The business group wanted to create a page to house all existing stories about how people are using Microsoft products to accomplish tasks — from ordinary to amazing — in real life.

 

Solution

 

We decided to organize the page by people’s interests. To supplement the stories we added popular apps customers could download, showcasing relevant Microsoft apps. The page performed with higher than normal click-through rate.

 

Responsibilities

 

I was responsible for the creative strategy, and visual and UX design of the page.

Hub page

Created a page with an introduction and purpose statement, containing anchor links to the main sections of the page. Each main section had a parallax image that moved down as you scrolled revealing more of the photo.

Mobile

For the mobile break-point I created a custom experience using an expand/collapse system for each section.
